Ashida Kim falling apart

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/countdante/

http://pub40.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=3407321802&frmid=258&msgid=787486&cmd=show

I have some info I want to share so take it for what it is worth. Apparently there has been a falling out of sorts with some in the BDFSI or BDFS what ever they are calling themselves. People have been leaving the bdfs or having their names removed from the membership page due to the fact that Day, Ashida Kim and others have added peoples names to the page without their knowledge or consent. Apparently Day is just handing out rank to get members as well. There is an attempt to make things appear bigger than they seem. I have been told there were at least half dozen people whose names were added without thier knowledge a few current members who have been promoted to entice them to join.I have noticed that barron's name isnt on the members page. It has been gone for at least a couple of months now. I am told that Day and Kim used Barron to host a seminar with some kajukenbo guy earlier this year and ran out on the seminar without paying. promising to pay at the next seminar and then not showing up to any more to the other seminars. I am assuming Day and Kim dicked Baron like Credon did and that is why he isnt saying anything as far as Day and Kim or anything pertaining to the BDFS.Apparently Day keeps adding names to the members list. I have noticed the membership list get smaller and then get bigger over the past month. Can anyone confirm this? I think fallriver has Day to worry about and not Baron who they have kept bringing up. I am pretty sure this isnt the way to build an organization. It appears to me that Day and Kim are trying to link themselves to actual martial artists to make them seem like they are more legit.

FAKE BDFS INTERNATIONAL EXPOSED PART 3

No threats implied just fact, no assumptions implied just fact. Your pretty informed with what went on their, so you fail once again in back stepping. You went to eat with them and your step by step play you are defenitely in the circle of frauds.

For Mr. Aguiar to attempt to use my article to prove a "conspiracy" as he puts it, that in all actuallity, in my presence did not happen, is complete fabrication and misuse of my article.

You were their your article was quite informative. And I know what I know.

The group of instructors seemed to hit it off well as the conversation lightened. They spoke of Dwyer, Keehan and made fun of common enemies. At one point one of the quests played a video he had made which consisted of some martial art group demonstrating to a sound track of a comedic Mel Brooks movie that was especially funny. Shepherd then made the comment that he got blamed for making the video and the quest that had brought it for all to see quickly apologized to him. The hilarious video proved to be a bonding moment for Shepherd and Sensei Cayer as they laughed hysterically. It was obvious both men had seen the video for the first time.

Its the men in tights video, so you fail again. Its self explanatory you need not go over it again.

And what threats, you helped me out by posting it, I bet you made some enemies on that side from this one. You better worry about them not me whistle blower.

Threats
I am not a professional journalist or writer I just do some writing for a hobby. So you can imagine how surprised I was when an article of mine illicted threats from one called William Aguiar. I made no comment about him or his organization nor did I mention him in my article or hear his name mentioned when I was at the seminar.

However, Mr. Aguiar attempted to make some very broad assumptions about what went on at the seminar even though he wasn't there. Looking to read between the lines for a message to him that did not exist, except only in his mind.

Apparently the fact that I did not mention him or do a negative article on a certain group of people brings about Mr. Aguiar's threatening behavior. When I offered a post script to rebute his broad assumptions I got hit with phrases like "man up or shut up" and that "I should nt have talked" used as if he would do me bodily harm if I didnt write something that was more to his liking. He misread my post script as backing up on my statements, which not a one of my statements did I back pedal on.

BDFS INTERNATIONAL EXPOSED PART 2

This is an addition to the blog were I found the article http://gendaikageryu.blogspot.com/. They just added this. Talk about back stepping. I have followed Ashida Kim and his worthless minions for years. You don't need to explain yourself your even more busted by doing this.

Their whole exzistance is based on a lie. Like Marty Cale who owns this web-site http://theblackdragonfightingsociety.com. Who is in the International BDFS http://www.blackdragon.co.za/content...ille_tennesee/

P.S. 11/6/2008 - It has come to my attention in my comments section, that after my article was written that someone is trying to use it on another site as a means of misrepresentation or fabrication. I feel that I need to clarify a couple of things. It was never my intent to tarnish anyone who attended the seminar or anyone else including Mr. Aguiar or have my article be used in such a way to do so. First, I never personally witnessed or heard anyone mention Mr. Aquiar's name or the BDFS for that matter.

Dwyer was a visiting an old friend and student Lawrence Day. While he was here in Florida he offered several classes during the weekend. I find it far presumptous on Mr. Aquiar's part to even suggest that this had anything to do with him, nor do I recall anyone with the name Aguiar even attending the seminar. I also find it difficult to believe people would travel hundreds of miles just to conspire against Mr. Aguiar.

Second, Mr. Shepherd was only there for two of the six classes. He arrived late friday afternoon so he didnt make Mr. Dwyer's first class but he was there for the second class and then left saturday about lunch time after the third class. Mr. Dwyer was disappointed at Shepherd's leaving and expressed it to him by wanting him to stay for one more class. Everyone else that attended stayed for the entirity of the 6 classes.

Mr. Shepherd seemed to have alot in common with a group of Shotokan karate people who were at the seminar and was mostly conversing and hanging out with them. While Dwyer, Day, Luthor and Kim who were the oldest, all in thier sixties to be exact, were hanging out together for the most part. I never witnessed what Mr. Aguair claims happened.

For Mr. Aguiar to attempt to use my article to prove a "conspiracy" as he puts it, that in all actuallity, in my presence did not happen, is complete fabrication and misuse of my article.

FAKE BDFS INTERNATIONAL EXPOSED

I'm not much of a talker. But I have to do this. I won't speak on matter pertaing to the current case at hand. But this article speak wonders of what I've been saying for some time now. First off Barron Shepperd he said for sometime that he has no affiliation with Radford Davis and their he is. Creeden has spoke of this repeately, but everyone said no your a friggin wacko their is no affiliation and no conspiracy. But their it is its all there.

And also the You-tube video which they comment on "Men in tights the person in the video is Barron Shepperd" And we all know that you can't edit a you -tube video. So Barron You busted big time. He's at 34 seconds and at 1:15
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YY9kxXMYq30 And Barron Shepperd is a 7th Dan come on it took me all my life to attain that rank.

And Mr Dwyer he never saw Keehan after 1970 and I have proof of that. And he wasn't at the 68 convention and I have proof of that to. Now Dwyer was their come on when did that happen. Its a good read and why would they all be together.

Look I've dealt with Ashida Kim for along time he's nothing. But being e-mailed from Barron Shepperd saying that he doesn't know him and now their together. All I can say is I told you so.

To be in the Black Dragon Fighting Society you have to have balls and my John Handcock. Which none of you have.

And Felkoff using my father diploma, look you all contacted me. I never seaked any of you out at all your all fakes and frauds.

GM Doug Dwyer Seminar
Master Doug Dwyer came to Florida to hold several classes for his long time student and friend Grand Master Lawrence Day. The series of classes began on Friday and lasted the entire weekend covering the original dances of death. The first to arrive of course were 7th degree black belt Joe Cayer along with several of his students including 2nd degree black belt Walter Knochenmus, Jr. grandmaster David Harris, Sensei Mike Mitchell from Fort Lauderdale. The infamous ninja master, Ashida Kim and Sensei Shakur from Mississippi along with others were the next to arrive. They all had traveled from different states to meet the man who knew John Keehan for over twenty years and trained with and ran Keehan’s classes in Chicago in the 60’s and 70’s.

Dwyer was introduced to all attending by Grand Master Lawrence Day. Grand Master Day then proceeding to introduce others to each other for several minutes all were mingling and having very jovial conversation. Dwyer was introduced and mingled having conversation with everyone and after about twenty minutes the class began.

It was apparent from the onset that Grand master Dwyer was in remarkable shape for a man who was 69 years of age. His punches, kicks and blocks were smooth, snappy and clean. The students that listened intently were from and eclectic array of styles either Japanese or Chinese styles some experienced in both some in just one. Some such as 7th degree black belt Joe Cayer had black belts in other styles as well as instructorship In Iaido. Sensei Barron Shepherd had several Japanese styles under his belt ranging from 2nd degree black belt to 7th degree black belt.

The class ran on and then Doug Dwyer made some lovely comments to his wife who was also present and observing. He then pointed out a few things to a young woman named Lydia Cameron the only white belt in attendance. He asked Sensei Mitchell to demonstrate a couple of kicks such as the round house and side Kick which Mitchell performed with relative ease. After a few more moments of practice he then asked if anyone knew or had practiced Judo. After a few moments sensei Shepherd said he did. Master Dwyer then asked Shepherd his rank in judo and Shepherd answered he was a 2nd degree black belt. Dwyer had a little impromptu demo with Shepherd and then commented that he would like to have Shepherd demo some break falling techniques at a later date. A few more moments passed and then class was concluded. All began to mingle and have conversation again. After speaking with other members of the group Doug Dwyer and Ashida Kim spent several moments speaking. Ashida Kim was diminutive and ninja like in stature, and as Lawrence Day commented on, was in excellent shape. He was polite and some what soft spoken as he, Day and Dwyer spoke. After another twenty minutes or so all were off to a local restaurant.

Once all arrived at the restaurant, Senseis Day, Dwyer and Kim sat in close proximity and spoke of the 68 democratic convention and china town. It was apparent that Ashida Kim and Doug Dwyer along with John Keehan had all been there. Dwyer then verified that Keehan and he were indeed teaching some classes there as well. Dwyer then fascinated the table of martial artists of stories from the good old days. It was apparent he and Keehan were long time running buddies with a penchant for getting up to their eyeballs in trouble and fighting their way out of it. Knochenmus, Cayer, Shepherd, Mitchell and Shakur all were chatting on the opposite side of the huge round table. It seemed that everyone in attendance were hitting it off well. Knochenmus and Shepherd spoke to each other all most the entire time sharing experiences in the military and speaking about Knochenmus' grandchildren.

As the food arrived Sensei Joe Cayer said a prayer and blessed the food and conversations started again. Lydia Cameron had made a cake and all had desert. It was definitely to die for. Sensei Shepherd especially liked it and had two pieces. After dessert all leisurely strolled outside chatting and laughing then after several minutes said their good byes and agreed to meet for the next class at 8 am.

Day, Cayer. Knochenmus, Shepherd, Harris and Kim all went back to Day’s hotel room and continued conversation. On the way back Shepherd was asked about his involvement with a documentary on Keehan’s life. Shepherd was jovial and then became serious. All listened as he explained his situation it was apparent he had some enemies that in his mind needed to be dealt with.

Both Cayer and Shepherd seemed alot a like in the sense that both were men of conviction. Cayer a seemingly more spiritual type leader, who was hosting the seminar at his dojo the next morning was cordial, friendly and went out of his way to make all feel welcome. While Shepherd was more samurai like than spiritual. Both had as many diferences as they had in appearance. But amoungst them and the rest of the men in the room all personalites seemed to blend well. At about 10:30 pm all bid a good night and retired to their rooms.

The next morning all began to arrive for the days training. Day walked in with Hall and Kim. Knochenmus walked in with Shakur and Mitchell and Shepherd walked in last and began speaking to Cayer and Knochenmus. Shepherd would be stoic and watchful one moment then jovial and charming the next. Cayer, Shepherd and Knochenmus were obviously making a joke about something only known to them and burst into laughter. Ashida Kim, Day and Dwyer spoke quietly in the corner. Sensei Harris treated a few of the guests with his Chinese acupressure techniques which included Doug Dwyer’s wife. It was the same as before all were mingling and chatting. The atmosphere was friendly and jovial. New friendships and bonds had been formed among this special group of martial artists.

The class began with Dwyer instructing all were working on punches, blocking techniques and kicks with weighted hands and feet. Dwyer demonstrated some blocking techniques with Knochenmus. There were times when all would hit a move then freeze and Dwyer went thru the crowd making corrections and doing demonstrations on some. All were listening intently and doing their best to please their instructor. They continually adjusted their positions as Dwyer instructed. Dwyer would demonstrate with the weights and then put them down to execute striking techniques which were executed quickly, powerfully and accurately stopping just a hairs width from hitting Sensei Mitchell. Dwyer had captured everyone’s respect and admiration with his ability and charisma. It was understandable how he and Keehan were so close for so long.

Dwyer continually came to Shepherd to do demos it was evident that these two had fast become friends and respected each others talents and abilities. Dwyer asked Shepherd to walk across the room commented that Shepherd's posture and movement was good and that of a big cat, smooth, alert and ready to move when needed to. It was apparent that all in attendance were highly skilled. Lydia Cameron performed a technique and all instructors present nodded their heads in agreement as she initiated the action correctly.

At about 10:30 a couple of the guests announced they had to leave, so Dwyer ended class and began to mingle and take pictures. Dwyer and Day then presented Ashida with a rank certificate for 10th dan recognizing his contributions to the martial arts. Pictures continued, Shepherd struck with a since of humility had to be coerced to have his picture taken. He reluctantly agreed to all. An inside joke with Cayer was shared with he and Shepherd again and all burst into laughter. Cayer who was somewhat smaller than Shepherd was extremely comfortable with him and obviously had no quams about razzing Shepherd when the oppurtunity arose. Day and Shepherd were having a conversation and the rest of the group from the previous night found out that Shepherd and Day had foregone sleep and stayed up to the wee hours of the morning talking. Strong friendships had definitely been made.

A group picture was then taken with Gm Doug Dwyer standing next to Kim along with Harris, Day, Mitchell and Shakur all in the back while others such as Knochenmus, Mitchell, Shepherd and Lydia seated on the floor. Several Pictures were being taken when Lydia commented on the fact that Shepherd had stopped smiling and became stoic and stern again. The two shared some banter with each other that could nt be heard and Shepherd once again smiled. Another inside joke was blurted out, more pictures were taken, and the band of brothers and one sister burst into laughter.

These are the things I and Bullshido have dealt with for years. And this is why I'm the guy.

MY RESPONCE TO ASHIDA KIMS CHALLENGE

You should take you challenge down if your on Geritol. I accept all challenges, but your on medi cade. And you make 300 a month. You should borrow it from Barron Shepperd or Floyd Webb. Go out with gusto guns blazzing and go out like a man.

http://ashidakim.com/10k.html

My Friends,

From time to time among the hundreds of postal and e-mail inquiries we receive, there appears a challenge from some misguided soul who has not yet realized the true meaning of warriorship or the philosophy of the Ninja. We recognize, with our understanding of human nature and the ebb and flow of hormonal adjustments, which it is the nature of young men to congregate in groups and fight amongst themselves. This fact has been used by princes for generations to foment unnecessary wars and reduce the peasant population of the best and brightest of the gene pool. Further, that those training in a martial art often think the "test" of their ability is to meet come champion in battle and prevail against impossible odds. But, that most of these challengers, if they live, eventually mature and learn that the only real enemy is oneself. And, it should not be forgotten that all criticism is merely a form of jealousy. Nor, that a man is entitled to defend himself from such unwarranted attacks. To this end, Ashida Kim has issued the following response:

"I am the Ninja, himself. I come from the nowhere, I go to the no place. I have no magic power. Anyone can do the things I do, if they but know how. I am a professional soldier and fighter. I have videotape, press clippings, and receipts to verify this claim, should it become necessary in open court. As such, I am forbidden by law and convention from engaging in personal combat, since my hands and feet are considered lethal weapons.

"However, as a martial artist and a man, I am offended and annoyed by those who write in questioning my credentials or ability, when none of them has ever taken the time to meet, speak with, or write to me. And, they know this. So they make a point of baiting me. And, when I respond with anything but utter servility, they jump back, point their finger and proclaim that I have a chip on my shoulder, to prove they are superior. This is childish.

"Others write in claiming to know more about my system of Ninjitsu than I do, despite the fact that I have written fifteen books on the subject and they have written none. Or, questioning the manner in which our martial arts fraternity, of which I am honored to even be a part, grades or tests or sanctions its membership, of which they are not worthy, nor included. Even comparing our system to other forms of the Silent Way, as if all had to be the same. Saying I appropriated this or that technique from some other martial art, as if there were more than a few basic methods from which an infinite number of variations can be composed.

"Some have even gone so far as to send spies against me or come themselves on some pretext. And, when they do, they find that I am not at all like they expected. For, that is the nature of mystery. But, they all get what they came for, because that is the nature of understanding.

"Therefore, in response to these challenges, I set the following conditions, in accordance with the time honored tradition recognized in China and Europe amongst duelists that the challenger is a fool and the challenged must be permitted certain latitude in defending his life and property in the interest of fairness.

"First, since most of the challenges are frivolous, being generated by those who have some grudge with their own masters but who are afraid to face them and so select a surrogate upon whom to vent their anger and frustration; and, in light of my own professional status, Challengers must post an Appearance Bond of $25,000 to guarantee that they will actually show up for the fight, limiting the number of unnecessary trips to meet these loudmouths who then don't show up despite all their braggadocio. Only serious contestants need apply. If the Challenger fails to appear in the Ring within five minutes of being called for his Match, the Bond is forfeit to the Challenged, the Challenger is disqualified, and the Match awarded to the Challenged.

"Second, as a professional fighter, my fee is $10,000. Which will be paid by the Challenger 30 days before the match. Also, Challenger will pay travel expenses for myself and a party of three to the site of the match and provide food and lodging for the Party for the duration of the event.

"Third, Challenger will provide documentation and certification from local sports authorities governing such events attesting to their physical fitness and credentials sufficient to demonstrate their ring worthiness, and sign an irrevocable release absolving Ashida Kim, his agents and assignees from any financial, criminal, or moral liability in the event the Challenger is killed, crippled, or maimed.

"Fourth, the Match will be held in a public venue to which admission is paid, of which, the Challenged will receive one-half of all gate and concession receipts. A member of the Party will supervise ticket and concession sales and all amounts due will be paid before the match. No dough, no show. The reason for this stipulation is that I have fought many times in alleys to defend my honor, only to have the tale told by the loser of how he kicked my ass. Therefore, credible and numerous witnesses are required to prevent any disinformation.

"Fifth, Ashida Kim will be declared the winner in the event of a 5-second pinfall, submission by the opponent using matte or pat-out, if the opponent is unable to answer the bell, if the opponent is knocked out or rendered unconscious by a choke or stranglehold for a standard referee's 10-count, if the Ringside Physician determines he is unable to continue, if he fails to appear for the match, or is disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct. No judges, no holds barred, last man standing is the Champ.

"Now, I do not make this Challenge lightly. Nor with belligerence toward anyone. I have proven myself to myself many times and I know that the true test is getting up each day to joyfully participate in the sorrow that is one's life. What these Challenges want is to do that, to prove themselves to themselves to overcome their own insecurity and have self-confidence. And, I say unto all of you that this journey is an internal one. That peace and harmony come from within, not by imposing your will on a world that will not change to suit you, but will continue to change in spite of you. But rather by making this inner journey and facing your own dark side. That is the lesson of all religions, of which martial arts is but one. Of which Ninjitsu is but a part, of which I am but an infinitesimal speck. Certainly not worthy of all this bluster and rancor. I have never done anything to any of you people. All I have done is try to perfect my own character, live a fair and honest life, and share what little I have learned with those who have gone to the great trouble of seeking it out. For this crime I have been called a fake and a charlatan by those have no idea where I have been or the things I have done. I have been robbed by my publishers, cheated by the government, and endured the slings and arrows of those who have not one-tenth my skill. I have not asked anyone to accept what I say as The Truth, only as A Truth. I have demanded no tribute, conquered no lands, imprisoned no people. I am the innocent victim of attack by those who cannot or will not behave in a civilized manner. So, if you write in popping off at the mouth, looking for a lesson, you've have come to the right place. I don't take tests, because I have nothing to prove. I give tests, because I am a Teacher, and have State certification to prove it! So, if you want a piece of my ass, come on up and get you a bite, 'cause I got plenty. Don't bite off more than you can chew, however. 'Cause you ain't seen bad yet, but, it's coming. You put up the money and I shall be most happy to embarrass you in front of all your friends. 'Nuff said."

I remain,
Ashida Kim

ASHIDA KIMS RESPONCE TO 2005 CEASE AND DESIST

http://ashidakim.com/politics.html

Some of you may have been wondering about our recent offline experience. To clear up any misperceptions. We offer the following explanation:

On 6 October 2005 William V. Aguiar III filed a Cease and Desist order with our internet provider alleging copyright infringement. To wit, any and all references to a certain well known Chicago martial artist, his self created Hung Gar Kung Fu martial arts form, his 1966 booklet on the subject, the name of said book plus any all references to the infamous fan clubs of this individual or membership in same. Quite a lengthy complaint, complete with registered documents to substantiate his claims.

The server suspended our accounts without notification and for several days would not even tell us the name or nature of the complaint. They wanted us to fax them a notarized statement disputing these allegations so that they could cancel the account and get out from under whatever legal complications might ensue.

So, we had a meeting. Many of the Dojo crew were for taking the complainant up on his earlier offer to settle the matter by personal combat. Others argued that one could not “copyright a kata.” That would be like Jack LaLanne saying no one could do a push-up without his permission. Some said ignore him. He came in with the same whining a few years ago and we took down all references to the fan clubs. All that remained were mentions in the personal history and instruction in the Hung Gar form itself. Here he was, back again, demanding more unreasonable omissions because he simply refuses to believe that I actually learned this form, whether at a seminar or from the booklet and the fact that I could perform it within the allotted time span, or that it would have been completely lost and forgotten if not for publication in my books, was insignificant. All of these copyrights were obtained AFTER I had created an interest in the subject. Some said that he wasn’t even a real martial artist, just the son of a friend of one. That no one even liked. All wanted to duke it out in some manner or form. But I said, No.

When they asked why, I told them this:

“For twenty years I tried to get the FBI, numerous State attorneys, and Attorneys General, Congressmen, Senators and private lawyers to intercede on my behalf against copyright infringement of my intellectual property. So flagrant in fact as the chutzpah of Ethan Ellenberg to change the cover of Book of the Ninja into Ninja Training Manual and call it his own, not even notify me of any sales and keep all the royalties for himself. All to no avail. Not to mention all the people who steal and sell the PDF versions of my books on E-Bay, who will also do nothing to stop them. So, I know how much trouble the complainant went to in order just to bring this issue up. Before that, it was just “dojo politics,” one instructor arguing with another. But, because of my own experience in this regard, I am well aware of the frustration and anger involved in such a demand. And, I admire the fact that he made it farther than I did.

So, to demonstrate that we are more reasonable men than the internet trolls who have made a career of bashing me who have allied themselves with the complainant in this matter in order to further their efforts at the politics of personal destruction through their blog-o-spheres; the complainant in fact hosts such a web forum, the top of the page of which states clearly: “Yes, Ashida a whole forum set up just to bash and slam you…”; my instructions were to comply fully with the Cease and Desist order and remove every offending remark, passage, reference or suggestion that is required to do so. Simply because we asked the same of the Wikipedia slam and bash bloggers and they refuse. And WE are better men than that.

Ninjitsu is not about fighting, I have said so many times. It is about keeping the peace. If this is what the complainant thinks will make him happy, then it is my great pleasure to provide it to him and wish him the best of luck in continuing the martial arts tradition of the controversial Chicago martial artist in question and his father, who has recently passed away. Another reason for not continuing an unnecessary battle over nothing.

Meeting the this man and training in his form was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. He was an inspiration for a lot of people, myself included. It wasn't until much later that I learned he was kicked out of the USKA by Robert Trias and Jhoon Rhee; arrested for being drunk and trying to tape dynamite caps to the window of a rival Karate school; was famous for extorting money from other Dojo in Chicago at the time and was responsible for the death of his best friend in a notrious "dojo war" involving this extortion. As well as being implicated in the infamous Purolater armored car robbery. Some people thought that made him a "bad ass." Others said he was just a thug and a bully.

I told the complainant’s father that when we spoke by phone in 1995. We had only recently set up our webpage at that time and hade begun receiving e-mail from a certain “Father John Paul” of the Vatican Guard who was going to have the Pope put up the $10,000 so he could “meet my challenge.” This individual eventually morphed into a supposed student of the complainant’s father, who demanded that I appear before them and commit seppuku for daring to claim that I was in their club. (I later produced an ID Card issued and signed by the well known Chicago martial artist to prove my membership, but this item was rejected out of hand by those who had demanded to see it because some people could get them free through the mail by buying the booklet in question.) He then moved on to issuing challenges from the complainant’s father, to which I replied that surely the Grandmaster did not need someone speaking for him. Whereupon a phone number was provided and I called and spoke with said Grandmaster.

At first he was angry, but eventually he realized that I was so proud of having learned the Hung Gar form and met its creator that all I was trying to do was keep alive the tradition, in accordance with what I had been taught in that regard. I told him that I was equally honored to be speaking with him and would very much like to set up a webpage for him and help him to do the same. He declined, but we parted friends.

A few years later such a website was launched. They even stole our “history” page to make part of their package. We didn’t mind, we even tried to link to them and cooperate in promoting them. But, they were not interested. Some years later, as mentioned above, they demanded we stop using their copyrighted logo, even to indicate my quite real and official membership in that and many other martial arts organizations. We did so.

In the case of this complaint, no notification was made to us, even though they claim to have the names and addresses of all my “secret identities” and continue to publish them (the names of my friends who out of the kindness of their hearts have established DOJO Press for me so that the publishers wouldn’t get all the credit) on the web in several places so their cronies and steroid pumped up wannabes can sneak up on them and have a shot at “making a reputation for themselves” by “taking out the big dog,” even if they are not sure who it is. We informed them of an Australian punk who approached one of our authors "down under" and informed him of his intention to make the pligrimage and do just that. Didn't bother them a bit to put these lives in danger.

They have already admitted to hiring private detectives to covertly videotape my friends on their own property, which, of course, constitutes stalking. But, they still insist that somehow I am the villain because I refuse to fight them. If they had all the money they spent on the internet and attorneys and private detectives and stalkers trying to assassinate my character and person, they could just as easily pay the fee and have me get in the ring with one of them.

They claim to have the cash, But, they won’t send it to me. They claim to be MMA and UFC fighters but they can’t seem to put a match together. Not that such a contest would prove anything. First, because on any given day, any champion can be beat. That is why they have re-matches. And, those don’t settle anything either. Second, because Ninjitsu is not about fighting in the ring. It is about simple self defense.

Instead of spending two years or more bowing and paying dues and being forced to fight others in tournaments to get a Black Belt. Most people just want to be able to “get even” or “settle the score” or “protect themselves from possible future attack.”

That is why the home-made Hung Gar form was so good. It could be learned in a single day. It had all of the vital and fatal points of the human anatomy and it contained every major fist and striking technique used by most martial arts. It was a complete system in itself. But, so are many others. Not all styles have hundreds of kata. Some only have a few techniques that work most of the time for most people. Not everyone wants to break their knuckles like Mas Oyama so they can kill mad bulls with their bare hands. Not everyone is patient enough to master the intricacies of such subtle arts as Tai Chi. So, there is Ninjitsu.

The single hallmark technique is to throw sand in the opponent’s eyes and run away.

The first rule of Karate is “Martial Arts are for self defense ONLY!”

My critics, however, insist on picking fights and instigating challenges and accuse ME of not living up to martial arts standards of combat and honor by refusing to fight them.

When I began in the martial arts it was because I was little and I got beat up a lot and I didn’t like it. That was one of the reasons I learned the Hung Gar form of the well known Chicago martial artist. I found a bunch of neat ways to hurt people, but I really didn’t want to do that. Nor be hurt myself.

After a while I got pretty good and was able to hold my own against most opponents in the Dojo and tournaments we went to. But, even then, I didn’t take it as seriously as some of the other fellows. I didn’t care if I won or lost, what was important was playing the game, participating, demonstrating good sportsmanship, and so on. Lots of guys fought too hard or cried when they lost. But to me, it was just a trophy. Important, but not worth dying for, or injuring some other poor student from some other school who was also required to participate. See, back in those days, self defense was only a small part of the curriculum.

Eventually I began looking for the “one-punch” that would be able to defeat any opponent. It is a common quest among martial artists. It usually takes them away from their first art to explore other methods and styles. Most martial arts include anatomy, vital and fatal points and restraint holds. In their syllabus. Some just stress these things more than others. Often the advanced techniques are not taught until a certain level of skill and rank are reached.

When I came upon Ninjitsu, I didn’t like it at first. It was so totally different from every other art I had encountered. It was completely relaxed, required no training, and was absolutely non-violent in its technique. The practice forms were more like dancing than stomping on a battlefield. The other techniques were simple magic tricks and mental conditioning. Exactly what I said I was looking for, but it didn’t fit my “definition” then either. Because my mind was closed.

I thought all those legends of honorable Samurai facing each other on the battlefield applied to modern times. Many was the time I fought some bully and had to kick his ass because he “cheated” by kicking me in the knee or similar “dirty trick.” Since I was always hesitant to fight I was still an easy target and often “held back” and tried to “get away" instead of just punching the guy out. After he hurt me or cheated, I got fired up enough to really fight back. Lots of professional boxers are like that. Not that I consider myself in their league. Just drawing a comparison.

In fact, I had had a guy throw dirt in my face and kick my butt one time. When I protested to my teacher that this sort of thing was dishonorable and a dirty trick he just laughed in my face.

“There are no rules in a knife fight!” He exclaimed.” The other fellow is trying to kill you. And you are worried about fairness?” Never had thought of it quite like that before.

“Ninjitsu is not about fighting. It is about keeping the peace. It takes two to make a fight. If there is only one person there, then he is just practicing alone, and may yet see the folly of his ways. That is why we vanish and leave any attacker to ponder why he was even trying to strike us. For we are the most peaceful and kind hearted people of the world. Our primary law is, ‘First, do no harm.’ We are men of peace who can fight like ten tigers. But, we seek only peaceful co-existence. We are not soldiers or warriors, although we can be and the same principles of combat apply to those lifestyles as to simple self defense; because that is the nature of martial arts. Part of that is giving you the confidence to know you can fight and win every time. Sometimes this is a long process, sometimes one need only open one’s eyes. You say you had this dirty trick pulled on you?”

“Yes,” I replied meekly.

“Well, it worked didn’t it?”

I nodded.

"What more proof do you need?” he laughed again.

The clouded mind sees nothing…

Of course, my critics claim that I never studied this Art either. Against such closed minds it is always a “no-win” situation. Like the loaded question: Have you stopped beating your wife yet? If you say Yes, it implies you did beat her in the past, but have now stopped. If you say No, it implies that you are still beating her. Silence or refusal to answer is also taken as a sign of guilt. That is how the McCarhty Hearings of the fifties condemned so many innocnet people to prison and ruined their careers.

No one could live up to such a standard. If you fight, you are not living up to the true Karate is for Self Defense Only rule. If you don’t fight you are a coward. If you do not respond to the personal attacks and character assassination, you are eventually destroyed. If you do respond, especially with justified anger, you are not being “grandmasterly” enough.

The thing to remember is to be true to yourself and do what you know is right. There will always be yapping dogs, no matter what you do.

The only thing to do is to leave them alone with their misery. If you ignore them, they wear you down. If you hit them, you are a bully. If you feed them or try to be nice to them you just get bit. Any kindness is seen as weakness. But, kindness is the only true Way. Because all these other things are merely manifestations of ego, blinded by the delusion that this moment is the reality of all moments. Time and karma are the great equalizers.

But the real problem lies in trying to “define” what MY Ninjitsu “is.”

To me, it is the ONLY non-violent martial art known to man. Tai Chi may be considered almost non-violent, since it is primarily for good health and longevity and the martial applications are not specifically taught except in those schools who engage in friendly competition using the “push-hands” exercises.

There is no competition in MY Art, only cooperation. It is solely for self defense. The single technique upon which the entire system is based consists of throwing sand in the enemy’s eyes and running away. EVERY martial arts starts out telling its students that it is better to run away than to stand and fight, that only when all avenues of escape have been exhausted are you allowed to used deadly force. The, they spend about two years teaching you how to stand and fight. And give you a Black Belt whether you know anything or not. We don’t do that. In one lesson we teach you how to overcome any attacker without training or skill and run away and hide so that there is no conflict.

Feudal Ninjitsu was also based on this “keep the peace” principle. That is why the ancient Ninja assassinated the enemy warlords; so the draftee troops on both sides would not have to kill each other on the battlefield.

But, somehow, self defense does not qualify as a “true martial art” to my critics.

So, to quiet these loudmouths, in the tradition of Bruce Lee, who also met with a lot of unnecessary criticism and bigotry, I invented a “21st century martial art” called Mugei-Mumei no Jitsu. It is a Japanese phrase that means “No Name, No Art.” But, what it really MEANS is what Bruce Lee was talking about. Not to get “hung up” on names. It is MY style, whoever ME might be. Eventually all martial artists find a few techniques that work well for them and they tend to stick with those because they are proven. There is nothing wrong with that. So, no matter how many styles they might study or how long they practice a single art, eventually everyone’s style, be they neophyte or master, is a “my” style.

Of course, since Japanese is a language of infinite subtlety, these same ideograms can be translated to mean “without credentials, and not too bright.” This is in no way intended as an insult. It is simply because to be a master of the basic technique of throwing sand in the enemy’s eyes so you can run away and hide, does not require great skill or training; just a little common sense. Anyone can do it. Therefore, anyone can be a Ninja because anyone who can duplicate their famous “fight or disappear” legend, especially with their hallmark technique is qualified. And, this simple technique enables anyone to win every time against any opponent without injury to either. When you KNOW you can win, you have confidence. That is a lot of what martial arts are all about. It’s not just one thing, not just fighting in the Octagon or tournaments, not just board breaking, not just self defense, not just meditation and philosophy, not just being a soldier or a warrior, it is all those things and more. And the name, doesn’t matter.

The legendary last Grandmaster of all the “legitimate Ninja,” in Japan, Masaaki Hatsumi, recognizes this simple fact. When students approach him for grading and certification, he gladly hands them over a scroll saying they are qualified Ninja, whether they are or not. After all, how qualified must one be to execute so simple a technique? Because he knows that if they are not qualified, the certificate won’t help them. And that, if they are qualified, the certificate will not hold them back.

A lot of people think I am a fake and a fraud because I do not conform to their definition of what a “true’ martial artist should be. Either they think I am not skilled in the ring, or I refuse to accept a challenge, or I made up and stole all the techniques I have so successfully taught over the last thirty-five years and that have been welcomed and accepted by everyone I have met, except my critics. Who are themselves self-confessed well known liars who use their internet stage to discredit and demean anyone who is not in their cult of hate mongers and slimy smear tactic character assassins known in the 21st century as “bloggers.” They have gone to great lengths to spy on me. Hiring private detectives and attorneys to “track me down” so I can be “exposed”; publishing the names and addresses of my friends so they can be attacked and harassed; even filing false complaints against us so our website is taken offline to disrupt our meager commerce.

Most of this is because of jealousy. But some of it is because they, and others insist on having a “one definition fits all” world. One of their complaints about me is that “McDojos like Kim use tricks like board breaking to make themselves look impressive without really knowing anything.” This sort of statement is usually made by someone who cannot break a board and has never even been told why he should. Besides, we don’t do that. We teach you how to step out of the way andlet your opponent fall down without hitting you; or, how to creep up on him when he isn't looking and scare himto death. "Darkness is your friend...Fear is your weapon..."

That is why we call our “no name style” the Invisible Fist. Looked for it cannot be seen, listened for it cannot be heard, felt for it cannot be stopped. That way my critics can no longer make the claim that I am not a true Ninja. Because Ninjitsu was only one of the arts I have studied, and I no longer use their names, logos or terminology.

Of course, this will not stop the hate mongers or their bashing. But, it will keep the peace. Because it is the right thing to do. Namely, not stealing from me or US or anyone else. That is anti-social behavior and should not be tolerated in a civilized society. And we are civilized, we must work together for the benefit of all, because we are all on this planet together. Even though I do not feel that my attempts to keep alive the tradition of John Keehan were any sort of theft. If the complainant feels they are, that is enough.

Sometimes the needs of the Many outweigh the needs of the Few. The needs of the self elected Few have taken precedence for far too long. That is why we live in a country where the elite can flaunt the law and the peasants are taxed to death. To this problem I have a simple solution, NO MORE! Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country, and it is OUR country, not the princes'. We are not sheep who can be fleeced and eaten with no regard for the much touted "human rights" of political speeches. There is injustice here, granted these examples are somewhat personal, but all you have to do is look around to see it happening in your own lives. Let us not contribute to it ourselves. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I hope this will be a step in that direction. In every revolution there is one man with a dream, and all of us have it within us to change the world and make it a better place.

Let's start now...

I remain,
Ashida Kim

ASHIDA KIM EXPOSED , GIVING OUT VALE TUDO BLACK BELTS

Local Winter Haven Man Leads Way In Selling Mail Order Black Belt Certificates.

Chad Sloman had heard the rumours before. For years in the martial arts community there have been whispers. "Want to impress some guilible potential students with your martial arts skills, but don't have the actual background? Pay a fee to join a martial arts hall of fame or buy a black belt ranking which you can hang on your wall to impress little Johnny and his soccer mom." In March a friend told Chad about The Dojo, and Dojo Press, a site offering to rank to all those who passed certain qualifications. operating out of P.O. Box 209, Lake Alfred, Florida.

"Certification, suitable for framing, in your chosen system of fighting arts can be awarded upon presentation of previous credentials at Yudansha/Black Belt Level or above. Prior certification or documentation eliminates the video testing requirement. Qualified Military Hand-to-Hand Combat or Self-Defense Experts are eligible for this Certificate. No additional training required. Get credit for what you already know.” http://dojopress.com/catalogms2.html
But wait! One also receives

"DOJO ID Card and 8 1/2 x 11 Certificate of Rank and Membership in The DOJO-Academy of Martial Arts, a subsidiary of BLACK BELT INTERNATIONAL the parent company and Representative Commission for dozens of styles and martial arts clubs worldwide. Video Testing is available as part of the Fee, and will be evaluated by recognized instructors and sanctioned in whatever school or freestyle method is designated by the applicant."

A investigation by members of Bullshido.net, a website devoted to discussing and investigating questionable behavior in the martial arts has uncovered the following. By a minimum of clear and convincing evidence we have discovered that the man running this site, is named Radford W. Davis, and he has been using the pseudonyms of both Ashida Kim and Chris Hunter since at least 1980. Starting in 1980 Davis has published approximately a dozen Ninja related books (1) achieved greater circulation then the publications of legitimate Ninjutsu masters like Masaaki Hatsumi and Stephen Hayes who traveled to Japan to study with Hatsumi. Davis, whose "ninja" alias incorrectly mixes a Japanese first name with a Korean last name, has been operating his enterprise out of its current Lake Alfred Florida post office box for well over a decade. (2)

Though Ninjutsu was first widely seen in America in the 1967 James Bond move 'You Only Live Twice' it really emerged in the American public consciousness starting in 1980 when ninjas and Ninjutsu were shown to the American public in the Miniseries 'Shogun', and the Chuck Norris vehicle 'The Octagon'. By the time the 1981 Cannon Group's movie 'Enter the Ninja', was in release, the martial arts community had descended into the Ninja craze. (3)

This trend fueled the rise a number of uncredentialed teachers of which Davis has been perhaps the most successful. Davis is also known in martial arts circles for using without permission the name of the Black Dragon Society which was originally founded by the late John Keegan of Chicago, Illinois. Needless to say, when Davis republished Keegan's book which was written under the name of Count Dante, he did so without permission.

"These certificates are dangerous because their graphics appear professionally done and so they look official," says Neal Fletcher who runs Bullshido.net, a martial arts website which devotes itself to discussing martial arts fraud and misbehavior. "If I stuck one of these up on the wall of a martial arts school, ("Dojo" in Japanese) I could easily convince most people I was certified to train them and take their money for doing so because I possessed legitimate rank in the art specified on the certificate. In actuality I would be a complete fraud, putting them at risk if they ever did need to use their self defense skills in a dangerous situation. It's easy for an average person to get taken in when they see a man in a martial arts uniform with a decorated black belt. It's the 'karate kid' effect: people want to assume martial arts teachers are inherently reputable and trustworthy because that's how they're generally represented in popular culture. But in reality there aren't any genuine standards or regulation of the industry, leaving it open to all sorts of fraud."

So the question became, would Davis/Hunter/Kim sell a black belt certificate to anyone, or did he actually screen applicants and require a video tape or proof of rank as he claimed to do. Sloman, a member of Bullshido decided to find out.

On March 21, 2005 Chad Sloman sent Ashida Kim (aka Hunter aka Davis) the following e-mail at http://dojopress.com/catalogms2.html "Please send me a black belt certificate in "Vale Tudo". My experience: 7th kyu Yoshukai Karate (World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization); 1.5 years (untested) Atarashii Naginata (Scouthern California Naginata Federation); 5th kyu Aikido (Aikido Schools of Ueshiba); 7th kyu Judo (United States Judo Association)"

Now for anyone who knows the first thing about Japanese Martial Arts, which a supposed Ninja master would, 7th and 5th kyu are extremely low, pre-black belt ranks. In many systems there are 10th kyu before one reaches Black Belt, with 10 kyu signifying the white belt and 1st kyu indicating the person is a Brown belt and close to testing for their Black Belt. So no matter how one sliced it, Chad was no more the half the way to a legitimate black belt and had less then half the time needed to be awarded a black belt in most legitimate martial arts. (typically 4 years on a part time training schedule.)

The other kicker was what Chad was asking for. Vale Tudo, "anything goes" in Portuguese, is a no-holds barred (mostly) grappling competition commonly found in Brazil. Black Belts are not awarded to people competing in this full contact competition any more then they are awarded in American boxing or wrestling. Anyone with a serious background in martial arts, or even a history of reading martial arts magazines would spot this problem. Ashida is not a soccer dad, or martial arts newbie, even as a faux Ninja master he would be aware of this information. (4)

Ashida's reaction? He didn't ask Chad for more details, even though Chad never presented Black Belt Level credentials from another art as required by Kim's sale page on his website. Davis/Kim/Hunter also didn't inquire about the obvious problems in Chad's story. Instead several weeks after payment of $55 was made via paypal, Chad received the following certificates by federal express, one of which memorialized that he was a Black Belt in "Vale Tudo". A copy of this certificate is attached to this press release, notice the sharp graphics, one would have to know something about the martial arts to know it's actually not worth the paper it's printed on.

On May 26, 2005 days after Chad purchased this black belt certificate, another Bullshido member wrote Ashida :

"Hi Ashida,

Further to our previous chats. It is now public knowledge that we arranged for a less than qualified MAist to purchase a blackbelt grade off you to test your claim that you check applications.

The bullshido thread is: http://www.bullshido.net/forums/sho...d.php?t=24467
Do you have anything you want to say to this?"

Ashida's reply in full:

"From :
Sent : 26 May 2005 21:28:33
To : armchair_strategist@ hotmail.com
Subject : Re: You selling blackbelt grades without checks

You lot have been THREATENING me with an "expose" for years. Talk is cheap and that's all you want, attention in the form of a reply. Problem is, your facts are all wrong. No matter how many times I prove you to be liars and fools, you just come back for more. I don't care what you children waste your time on at Bullshido. Not one of you is worthy to kiss my foot.
?I remain,
Ashida Kim"

Since Davis/Hunter/Kim was made aware of this sting, he has made multiple arguments or excuses that can be found on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Ashida_Kim/archive1

These include: that 1) Chad has no right to complain of fraud because he received his certificates as paid for. 2) Chad Sloman falsely claimed that he had prior BJJ/MMA/Vale Tudo experience, 3) that the certificate only described Chad as an expert in Vale Tudo, not a black belt, 4) that these were only honorary certificates, 5) Sloman was required to fill out a form in the material that was sent to him providing proof of his prior experience or a tape showing him perform his martial arts skills, after the sale, which he did not do, 6) that since a no hold barred fighter has published a book through Dojo Press, Ashida has the ability to rank people in Vale Tudo.

Dealing with these arguments in order, 1) Chad and Bullshido were under no illusions about Mr. Davis before we ordered his certificates. The deceived would not be the party ordering the certificates but the students of this buyer whom would be recruited with a false claim “documented” by this certificate. Therefore Ashida’s response here is irrelevant. 2) Chad did not deceive “Ashida Kim” into believing he was more skilled then he actually was. On one of the two certificates labeled “Black Belt Certificate” Chad’s prior non-black belt experience is explicitly mentioned and he is still granted the rank of “Expert”. So Davis has no claim that Sloman did not tell him what his martial arts experience was before both certificates were issued.

3) There were two certificates issued. One was entitled “Black Belt Certificate” and awards Chad the rank of “Expert” The other is a “Certificate of Rank and Membership” inducting Mr. Sloman into the Dojo Martial Arts Academy at the rank of “Black Belt 1st Degree in the Martial Art, Style, or System of the Vale Tudo”. The second officially calls Chad a first degree black belt and the first an expert in Vale Tudo. While the second certificate would be more useful for fooling soccer moms, the term “expert” in the first certificate is synonymous with the term Black Belt. 4) The term “honorary” did not appear on either certificate so these were not sold as honorary certificates and could be used to dupe the unwary. 5) The only form shipped to Sloman after the fact to be filled out was an Black Dragon Fighting Society Dojo Application. Since Chad was not attempting to start his own BDFS affiliate he did not have to provide any post sale information as Kim/Davis alleges. More importantly the language of the page under which Mr. Sloman bought the certificate indicates such proof was supposed to be provided before the rank was issued. See http://dojopress.com/catalogms2.html 6) Finally, regardless of Mr. Davis’s assertion that he was competent to hand out rank in Vale Tudo because of a fighter who had written a book for him, this NHB figher never signed Chad’s certificates or reviewed any video tape of him because none was ever provided. Mr. Sloman would be willing to sign a sworn affidavit attesting to the facts outlined here and in his post on the wikipedia thread under the heading “The Facts Regarding the Vale Tudo Black Belt”. When Samuel Browning challenged “Ashida Kim” to sign his own affidavit under his real name, supporting his own version of the facts, Kim/Davis did not even address Mr. Browning’s challenge.

Contrary to Ashida Kim's assertions, our facts are reliable and we have a Black Belt certificate that was bought from him simply for money and displays his signature. It is unknown how many of these certificates Kim/Hunter has sold, how many have been used to open schools, and how many have been used to acquire slightly less 'shady' rank. (5) But this is a defective product widely available through the internet and it may be decades before we fully know how many of these certificates are out there being used to con people. Neal Fletcher observes: "Ultimately this is only one belt factory, there are other places we've heard of second hand where one can also get a black belt, in this industry it's really buyer beware."

1) "Christopher Hunter" published "The Book of the Ninja" in 1980. There is some confusion about when Davis published "Secrets of the Ninja" under the name Ashida Kim because the text itself provides a date of 1980 though it was not copyrighted until 1981. "Secrets" is now available via pdf at Davis's/Hunter's/Kim's website. The majority of the techiques contained within involve meditation and sneaking around, with little or no specific hand to hand combat techniques that are actually used by Ninjutsu. This is not particularly surprising since to provide such information Davis/Hunter/Kim would have actually had to have studied this art.

A review of Library of Congress online holdings at http://catalog.loc.gov/ reveals that they have 15 separate titles on Ninjutsu published either by Chris Hunter or Ashida Kim between 1980 and 1999, though some appear to be the same books published under different titles and by different publishers. The pictures in these books indicate "Kim" and "Hunter" share the same general size, posture, and even items of clothing. Since Ashida has previously said he has posed unmasked in his books, as has Hunter, who follows him around like a Siamese twin, it appears they are one and the same.

On http://www.ashidakim.com/proof.html Ashida Kim boasts of sneaking into a Stephen Hayes seminar at the Sarasota Motor Inn in Sarasota Florida on either February 11 or 12th 1984. Kim would later write Mr. Hayes that he had attended the seminar. On the above link he has a picture of the letter he sent to Hayes. The signature reads “Chris Hunter”.

2) Radford W. Davis's real name was established the following way.

A search of book copyright information revealed that a Radford Davis held the copyright on a videotape published by Dojo Press. The names Ashida Kim and Christopher Hunter were both psuedonyms, and that the latter was the psuedonym of one Radford W. Davis who was born in 1948.

On 6-9-2005, Samuel Browning talked to Sheila Conroy of Paladin Press. She is the wife of Peder Lund who owns Paladin. She confirmed that Chris Hunter and Ashida Kim was the same person and that when they were carrying his books they sent his royalty checks to the P.O. Box in Lake Alfred used by Ashida's website. The checks were sent in the name of Radford Davis.

"Kick Catcher" a Bullshido member used a search engine called ZABA http://www.zabasearch.com/ to verify names/addresses etc for free. There were three men named Radford Davis in Florida.

1a. RADFORD DAVIS, 2021 11TH AVE FORT LAUDERDALE FL
1b. RADFORD W DAVIS, born Sep 1925, 1010 AVENUE W NW WINTER HAVEN FL (863) 293-6975
1c. RADFORD W DAVIS, born Jul 1948, 1010 AVENUE W NW WINTER HAVEN FL (863) 293-6975

Both 1b & 1c are good matches, but 1c was approximately the same age as the man listed in the copyright information provided above.

Lake Alfred is less the 10 miles from Winter Haven Florida.

There was no trace in the entire United States for the name Ashida Kim. Assuming that the this search engine has a high % content integrity, at least for real people, then this suggests that Ashida Kim is an alias.

3. Christopher Hunter
There are 78 in Florida.
Three were born in September 1948:
3a. CHRISTOPHER K HUNTER, Sep 1948, 5071 DUNDEE AVE DE LEON SPRINGS FL (386) 985-6696
3b. CHRISTOPHER K HUNTER, Sep 1948
3c. CHRISTOPHER K HUNTER, Sep 1948, 4799 HARMONY WOODS TRL DE LEON SPRINGS FL

These are probably the same person who moved from address to address.
There are a few other Christopher K Hunters but they are either too young or do not have their birth dates recorded. One Christopher Hunter lives near Radford W. Davis:

3d. CHRISTOPHER HUNTER, 4900 CYPRESS GARDENS RD WINTER HAVEN FL

We checked the name "Chris Hunter" also. There are 55 in Florida but none born in 1948 with the same address or phone# as Davis (1c).

Ashida Kim's website is hosted by Powerweb out of California and is listed to Mark Miller, 1010 Ave W NW, Winter Haven, FL, with a phone number of 863-409-4910. It's the same address as Radford Davis's but with a different name (probably an alias) and a different phone number. Another computer search reveals (863) 293-6975 (Radford W Davis' above) comes back registered to George W Davis - (863) 293-6975 - 1010 Avenue W NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881. If we are wrong and Mr. Radford W. Davis is just another pseudonym, then the most likely alternates are Mark Miller, or George W. Davis which trace back to 1010 Avenue W NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881. We believe however that George W.Davis is Radford Davis’s father and that they share the same residence.

Two of Bullshido’s members have reviewed a video of a man outside 1010 Ave W NW, Winter Haven Florida during daylight. The man appeared to be the older man in the following black and white pictures http://www.bullshido.net/forums/shoight=no+comment [post 34] These pictures have been identified as being that Ashida Kim in Florida by one of his German followers, Andreas Leffler. See:

If our visual identification is accurate as we believe it to be, then Radford Davis and Kim/Hunter are one and the same person.

3) I am indebted to John Corcoran and Emil Farkas, whose book "The Original Martial Arts Encylopedia: Tradition-History-Pioneers" (Pro-Action Publishing, Los Angeles, revised 1993). pp. 288-290 which provides a short history of martial arts films. Their discussion of Ninjutsu on pages 105-110, and Hatsumi and Hayes on pages 328 and 329 is also quite valuable.

4) Given that Kim/Hunter admits he never met Hatsumi on his website, http://ashidakim.com/index.html#faq he never studied in Japan with a legitimate master of Ninjutsu, before starting to write ninja books in 1980. At this time there were VERY few legitimate teachers in the United States other then Stephen Hayes, the suspicion in the MA community has been that Kim either totally made up his material or that he cribbed what little he knows of the art from the writings of Mr. Hayes or the late Donald Draeger. Alternately Kim could have simply borrowed from the Black Belt Magazine articles on this subject published starting in Jan 1978. Needless to say, even as someone who gained his Ninja knowledge from books, Hunter who has been reading M.A. publications for years, would be able to spot this problem immediately.

5) One phenomena in the Martial Arts community is that some instructors will trade rank between themselves so that they can claim the authority to teach additional arts. usually such trades are done without demonstrating any proficiency in the other art. With this certificate Chad could easily trade 'up' to a more 'legitimate' martial art lineage.

THIS BLOG WAS CREATED TO EXPOSED RADFORD DAVIS

It all starts here in the 60's and before Radford Davis had hair on his ball's. He met a guy named Count Dante well really he didn't meet him at a seminar with like 600 people, and so it starts.
